China Glaze – Get Carried Away
Here is ‘Get Carried Away’ from the China Glaze Cirque Du Soleil collection. I was excited to try this polish since many people were disappointed in it. I wanted to see it for myself.

Nfu Oh is my new favorite nail polish brand! It used to be OPI, but Nfu Oh has a uniqueness about it that overpowers all! I got the Nfu Oh Holographic set and this is Nfu Oh 64. I was actually very skeptical about buying this polish because I had heard mixed reviews about the formula changing over the years – and it not actually being holographic, or it being barely holographic, but I was pleasantly surprised when I used it! It is the greatest nail polish I have ever seen! I used this polish with the Nfu Oh Aqua Base, which helps to bring out the full holographic look of the polish. Also, what I did with it, which also helps, was layer the polish and base coats as follows:
Aqua Base – 1 coat
polish – 1 coat
Aqua Base – 1 coat
polish – 1 coat
Aqua Base – 1 coat
polish – 1 coat
So here I have a total of 3 coats each, layered with no top coat. After, I did use Seche Vite, which overall does slightly diminish the holographic look. BUT, it does help make the polish last because it chips very fast! So if you are going for a one night look don’t use top coat. If you are going for a longer lasting look, use the top coat. Also, I just want to note that I did find this polish to be extremely fast-drying, which meant I had to work extremely fast. It’s tricky to put on without getting chunky polish everywhere. I will post the other five polishes in the set for you to see in the future, so look forward to it!
This is by far the most unique bottle of nail polish I have ever seen! The bottle is a dress and the top of it is a heart. Nfu Oh have the most amazing bottles. The polish is also beautiful! I have so many pictures, not only to show you all of the detail on the bottle, but to show the color of this polish – Nfu Oh 51 (Flakie). I can’t even show you really how it looks in the pictures. You really have to see the polish in person! Anyways, I tried to get the polish in different light just so you can somewhat see it. It’s crazy that some of the pictures don’t even seem like I am wearing the same polish…but I am!! The pictures are two coats with Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat. Enjoy!
I just got this polish in the mail. I didn’t know what to expect since it is brand new, from the China Glaze Holiday 2012 collection, and couldn’t find any swatches of it yet. I was actually thinking it was more of a linear holographic nail polish, but it is a holographic glitter polish. The coverage is AMAZING!! You really could get away with one coat, but I always like to do two coats as shown above. The only downfalls to this polish is that it looks more like metal in the direct natural sunlight as it can start looking too dull. Also, the texture its sooooo gritty! I swear I had to put about 4 coats of top coat to get out the gross gritty texture. That drives me nuts ’cause it gets caught on everything and I hate the way it feels. I actually could have probably used 5 coats of Seche Vite, but it seemed just a bit too excessive. This above picture is shown with no top coat.
Oh yeah, one more thing… this polish chipped off so fast!!! I guess that is because of the texture. My China Glaze polish usually doesn’t chip that fast. It was all gone off my nails in a few days…and it came off in chunks! Well, I guess the good part is that it’s way easier to take off that way, since glitter can be a big pain in the ass to take off your nails.
I have the OPI Spain Collection (for quite awhile now), but had never tried Barefoot In Barcelona until now. Nude polishes are not my style, but I was amazed at this polish. It actually looks great for a nude and I will definitely be wearing it a little more often. The formula is really good as it went on nice and even. No problems at all. I think it actually looks pretty good! Here I am wearing 2 coats with no top coat.
